Married couples in music can be a hit or miss thing. John and June Carter Cash made it work somehow. Paul and Linda McCartney always had something going on. The jury is permanently out on John and Yoko. Whatever the equation though, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi are well on their way to becoming one of the success stories for musical marital bliss. Founded in 2010 after putting their respective solo careers on hold, the duo named themselves the Tedeschi Trucks Band and quickly issued their debut album Revelator. An instant hit, the record was named by Rolling Stone as a ‘masterpiece’ in a four star review, and went on to win a Grammy for best blues album at the most recent awards. As prodigious as they are talented, the duo have recently issued their second album Everybody’s Talkin’ in May and will be making their first Australian performances at Blues n’ Roots this year.
